BRITANNIA - THE LION'S ROAR

UK was the driving force and the biggest influence for the revolution of Heavy Metal in the glorious 80's. The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (as it was named by journalist Geoff Barton in the May 1979 issue of Sounds magazine), dominated the world from 1979 until 1983, spreading the flame to the other side of the Atlantic. The Lion's call was heard like thunder, and its legacy is still very clear and powerful until today!
Despite the fact that the NWOBHM movement was fading in the mid 80's, many new British bands came out after and recorded great albums, but they didnt managed to get recognition and stayed in obscurity. Some of them are presented here.
